I ran across this little goodie when researching other aspects of diabetes control. It is suggested as a means of reducing sugar cravings. Now I don't know if it works or not, and I don't know what the specific risks or potential side effects might be.
Since controlling diet is so important with diabetes, this might be a useful supplement for some diabetics. At least it might help you get over adjustment periods when making a change is more difficult. L-Glutamine is another amino acid, so risks and potential benefits are similar to other amino acids. It is less likely to be of help unless a deficiency already exists.
